European apples attracted a lot of interest at Anuga Select Colombia 2026

30.06.2026

Bogotá became a venue for inspiring meetings, business discussions and presentations showcasing the exceptional quality of European apples. We would like to thank everyone who visited us at the Anuga Select Colombia 2026 trade fair!

From 9 to 12 June, we had the pleasure of showcasing our offer in Bogotá. Taking part in the event was an excellent opportunity to meet representatives from the food industry, discuss potential areas of cooperation and exchange experiences with partners from various markets.

European apples attracted particular interest at the fair – thanks to their wide range of varieties, excellent quality and production based on the high standards in force within the European Union. It was a unique opportunity to introduce the event’s participants to the benefits of European fruit, its origins and the entire production process, which is based on safety, quality and sustainable practices.

Another important aspect of our presence in Colombia was the support and commitment shown by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bogotá, which helped us to successfully build contacts and promote European apples on the local market. Thanks to our collaboration with organisations that support the development of economic relations, we were able to reach key representatives of the food sector and gain a better understanding of the specific characteristics of the Colombian market.

As part of the programme, the campaign delegation also visited Corabastos – Colombia’s largest wholesale market and food distribution centre. It was a valuable opportunity to learn about the local distribution system and to discuss the potential for expanding exports of European fruit.

The meeting with representatives of the Asifruit Fruit and Vegetable Importers’ Association proved to be particularly fruitful and promising. The talks, which lasted several hours, focused on opportunities for cooperation between European apple producers and the Colombian import sector. The meeting provided an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the expectations of local partners and laid the foundations for the further development of business relationships.

Participation in Anuga Select Colombia 2026 confirmed the importance of the Colombian market as an attractive growth opportunity for European apple producers. We see great potential in building lasting business relationships and developing cooperation with local partners.

We would like to thank all the visitors who came to our stand during the trade fair for the valuable discussions, their interest and their positive energy. Each meeting was an important step for us in understanding market needs and creating new opportunities for collaboration.

We would also like to thank our partners – PAIH, the Polish Embassy in Bogotá and representatives of Asifruit – for their commitment, support and joint efforts to promote European apples in Colombia.
